I also used a an orangewood stick to gently scrape the hair from the inside of the head to loosen the rooting "stitches". It is much easier to get the hair out from the inside than from the outside.--- It took a lot of patience :)CJ https://www.blogger.com/profile/02097724826906106092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5608982158490066641.post-90927686982411375142016-04-23T07:28:03.289-07:002016-04-23T07:28:03.289-07:00How did you remove all of the hair? I tried clipping it with a razor as short as possible but it doesn't work either. Now I am left with a section of short hair that I can't even grip to pull out. As for the scalp colour showing through particularly on the part - real hair does that too, so it just adds to her realism. ...Fantastic job on the re-root! She's adorable.

I like the idea of shaving the head. Alternately, you could pull the excess hair out with tweezers, but this takes a reallly long time. I agree with you about the part/thatching, too. Best to do that last.

As for the broken hair plugs, I tend to use the hand knot with these and use really, really big knots. But some people patch up the scalp with glue first. After looking through my Pinterest pins, I found the glue-torial here: http://www.nonaptime.com/2013/02/tutorial-patching-up-vinyl-gaps-and-holes/

I hope you do more re-roots!Sarah Sequinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08221653054315631804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5608982158490066641.post-6554339393022622752015-03-24T11:15:08.785-07:002015-03-24T11:15:08.785-07:00She looks so cute with her little pontytails.
